About the role

As an Area Manager at Petbarn, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and performance of multiple Petbarn stores within a designated region. This full-time, Sydney-based role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and successful delivery of Petbarn's customer-focused retail strategy across your area.

What you'll be doing

• Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned Petbarn stores, ensuring consistent service excellence and compliance with company policies and procedures

• Lead, coach and develop store management teams to maximise individual and store performance

• Closely monitor sales, inventory, operational metrics and customer satisfaction to identify opportunities for improvement

• Implement effective merchandising and marketing strategies to drive increased customer engagement and sales

• Collaborate with the central Petbarn team to plan and execute regional business initiatives

• Foster a positive, customer-centric culture across your area of responsibility

• Identify and address operational and staffing issues promptly to minimise disruptions

What we're looking for

• Significant experience (5+ years) in a multi-site retail management role, preferably within the pet or homeware industries

• Proven track record of driving sales, improving operational efficiency and enhancing customer experience

• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and implement data-driven solutions

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with store teams, head office and customers

• Proactive, adaptable and customer-focused mindset
